Over 4 million tonnes of wood is wasted in the UK each year (that’s a lot of trees). Why would we continue to cut down more and more trees just to make furniture, when there is already so much wood lying around. Well, we don't. We only use 100% recycled pallet wood. Leaving each of our unique pieces with a certain charm.

 

My brother and I search the streets of East London, seeking out any discarded and broken pallets that have been left to deteriorate. We take these pallets in, give them warmth and dryness. Then we strip them down, leaving nothing but panels of used wood. Spence draws up some little sketches with his fine pencil, giving us the blueprints to the woods new life. After cutting each panel to size we start to piece together the new furniture.
